How we research and verify our guides

Last updated:

Every fact in our Riverside County guides comes from an official source, such as a California code, a court or a government agency, and links to it. Before a page is published, software re-reads each source and confirms the quoted wording. Facts we cannot confirm are left out, and we recheck sources every quarter.

Who prepares these pages

The guides are prepared by the Riverside Injury team, a personal injury practice of Diefer Law Group, P.C., at the firm's Riverside office. The attorneys' licenses can be checked on the State Bar of California's website; each attorney profile links to the official record.

Where the facts come from

  • Laws are quoted from the official California codes (leginfo.legislature.ca.gov), the Judicial Council's jury instructions and other official legal sources.
  • Agency details such as report fees, claim forms, addresses and phone numbers come from the agency's own website.
  • Crash statistics come from the California Highway Patrol's crash database and the state Office of Traffic Safety. Where we calculate totals ourselves, the page explains how.
  • When an official government page does not publish a detail, we say so instead of guessing. In a few places we rely on an agency's official contractor or organization (for example, a city's contracted animal shelter), and the page names that source.

How each fact is checked

Every fact is stored with the exact wording of its source. Before a page is built, software re-reads each official source and confirms the quoted wording still appears there. A fact that cannot be confirmed is left off the page. Every fact on a guide page links to the source it came from.

Keeping pages current

Each page shows the date it was last updated. We recheck the sources every quarter and update a page's date only when its content changes. Agencies change fees and procedures, so confirm details with the agency before you rely on them.

Tools we use

We use software, including AI tools, to gather sources, draft pages and run the checks above. A fact is published only if its official source confirms it. Some photos are edited with AI tools; those images are labeled as edited in their image data.

Not legal advice

These pages give general information about Riverside County and California law. They are not legal advice for your situation, and reading them does not create an attorney-client relationship. See our disclaimer.
